New Mikvah For Crown Heights

By COLlive reporter

The newly built, state of the art, Mikvah Mei Chaya Mushka in Crown Heights is finally open and ready for use.

Following recent rain storms, the wells are full, and as a result, one of the immersing baths will be open and functioning beginning Wednesday, Rosh Chodesh Adar, says Mikva founder Rabbi Moshe Pinson, whose tireless energy and perseverance has seen this great project to its completion.

The Mikvah was dedicated in June 2015 at a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony attended by prominent Rabbis, philanthropists and hundreds of enthusiastic community members.

The Mikvah was designed by Maggie Rogatsky of HCDDesign Decor, construction by Moshe Weiss of Blackstone Contractors and DJ Design Associates and fixtures by Moishe Kops of Decor Island.

Its two Mikvah wells were built in the most mehudar fashion, under the guidance of Rabbi Elozor Raichik and Rabbi Katz. All the Crown Heights Rabbonim – including Rabbi Avrohom Osdoba, Rabbi Yaacov Schwei and Rabbi Yosef Braun – have given their hechsher as well.

The Mikvah will be open and taking a small number of reservations this week, starting Wednesday night, and will increase the amount of reservations in the near future.

"Our goal now is to make sure everything is running efficiently and smoothly for our visitors, as we want this to be as beautiful and holy an experience as possible," informed the women's committee who will run the Mikvah's day to day operations.
